The Family Entrepreneurship & Society chair organizes research workshops - Paper Development Workshops - that bring together French and international researchers to develop research on family entrepreneurship. In January 2017, the Family Entrepreneurship & Society chair launched the Paper Development Workshop Series, which is now the chair's annual research event.
On October 12 and 13, 2020, the "Paper Development Worshop" brought together 38 participants from 5 continents over two days by videoconference.
The objective: to contribute to strengthening the quality of publications in the field of family entrepreneurship research.
This colloquium of international researchers was co-organized and co-hosted by the Chair and the Groupe entrepreneuriat société transformations of the Université du Québec à Montréal (ESG UQAM) on the theme "From Family Entrepreneurship to Family Entrepreneurship".
Workshop on Theorizing for Family Entrepreneurship
On April 12 and 13, 2018, the Chair of Family Entrepreneurship and Society and the Audencia Research Laboratory organized the second edition of the "Theorizing for Family Entrepreneurship" workshop. The aim of this meeting is to jointly contribute to strengthening the quality of publications in this research area.
From renowned researchers to doctoral students specializing in family entrepreneurship, 23 participants were brought together during this two-day workshop. The program featured fifteen international research teams presenting their work at the forefront of current research. They were able to receive advice and feedback from other researchers in the field of family entrepreneurship.
Networking, sharing and creating synergies are the leitmotifs of this annual event! Focus groups, speed dating between researchers and informal moments allowed new collaborations between participants and innovative research projects to emerge.
On October 16, 2017, the Centre d'études et de recherches sur les organisations et la stratégie at the University of Nanterre and the Chair of Family Entrepreneurship & Society at Audencia co-organized a conference on the topic "SMEs: family business governance, emotion and the dynamics of financial capital".
The aim was to develop an understanding of the tensions between emotional and financial issues in SMEs, with a focus on family businesses, business families and business groups. French and international researchers presented their latest research at this academic conference.
