Who are we?
The Family Entrepreneurship & Society Chair has a dedicated team of educator-researchers, a research fellow, consultant-experts and an ATER (teaching and research associate) to contribute to a better understanding of family businesses at the regional, national and international level through research and training.
A multidisciplinary team
Miruna Radu-Lefebvre
Professor in entrepreneurship, member of the STEP Global Board and APM expert on family succession issues. Involved in entrepreneurship research for over 15 years in France and internationally, her work focuses on emotional, relational and gender dynamics in family businesses.
Raina Homai
With a solid background in digital communication in higher education and entrepreneurship, Raina is a researcher in Audencia's Research and Business department and contributes to the development of the Family Entrepreneurship & Society chair.
Natalia Vershinina
Natalia Vershinina is Full Professor of Entrepreneurship and Head of Research for the Enterprise and Society Department at Audencia. In the UK, she has previously worked for Leicester BS, Montfort and Birmingham Universities, and is now a member of the Board of the Institute for Small business and Enterprise, and an elected member of the Council of the British Academy of Management. Over the course of 22 years, Natalia has developed her research on entrepreneurship, family business, gender and ethnicity. She is associate editor of two entrepreneurship journals: Entrepreneurship & Regional Development and International Journal for Entrepreneurial Behavior and Research.
Vincent Lefebvre
After a career in business start-up and takeover support, Vincent is an associate professor and head of entrepreneurship teaching at Audencia. Also, Digital Vice President of the Academy of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, his work focuses on entrepreneurial identity and practices.
Valérie Denis
More than 25 years' experience in coaching and training SME managers has led Valérie to research dedicated to entrepreneurial families. Founder of the ICHEC Families in Business Chair, Valérie has conducted several studies, is co-author of 8 management books, speaker at FBN, APM facilitator, trainer in various governance and entrepreneurship programs. With her company ALTANDO, she accompanies family shareholders, managers and directors through the key stages linked to their companies.
Caroline Le Biez
After an eight-year career in Family Office and a diploma from the Paris Bar, Caroline created Magouvernance.fr to help family businesses structure their governance and find independent directors. She is also Chairman of the Family Council and a director of the SOFIA Group, where she represents the 3rd generation of family shareholders. Caroline leads FBN's nextgen Grand Ouest and Nord communities.
Marine Gouëdard-Monne
Marine is an assistant professor of management at ESSCA. Her research interests lie in the fields of entrepreneurship & the relationship between innovation and territorial networks.
Samuel Réthoré
As an entrepreneur in the field of purchasing & CSR consulting since 2009, Samuel Réthoré assists executives and senior civil servants in developing purchasing strategies. In this way, he helps organizations transform and improve their financial, socio-responsible and environmental performance through innovation.
Wunnam Basit Issah
Wunnam Basit ISSAH is affiliated with Audencia's Family Entrepreneurship & Society Chair. He is a lecturer in strategy at the University of Leicester Business School in the UK. His research lies at the intersection of family business, strategy and innovation. Basit's research has recently been published in journals such as Family Business Review and Industry and Innovation.
Raja Singaram
With more than 15 years' experience working with startup entrepreneurs in the US, Europe and India, Raja is a researcher who studies founder and CEO decision-making and entrepreneurial histories in commercial, social and family business contexts.
Hela Chebbi
Hela Chebbi is Professor of Strategy at ESG, Université du Québec in Montréal. Before joining UQAM, she held the positions of Director of Research, Head of the Entrepreneurship Research Center and Director of the Management and Strategy Department at EDC Paris Business School, in France. Her research focuses on innovation, international development strategies for SMEs and intrapreneurship in family businesses.
Michael Laviolette
Michael Laviolette is Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and Head of the Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Department at TBS Education. He is interested in entrepreneurial processes in organizations (creativity, intrapreneurship, spin-offs, etc.) and their lasting impacts in terms of new skills, routines, capabilities and organizational identities. He is currently working on several projects including: intrapreneurial mentoring within family businesses; the role of meta-organizations in transforming territories; the impact of open labs on the entrepreneurial orientation of SMEs in regional innovation systems; and talent sourcing by incubators within entrepreneurial ecosystems.
