Audencia's Visit to Brazil: Promoting Academic and Cultural Partnerships
Earlier this month, the Dean of Audencia Business School, Christophe Germain, together with Desi Schmitt, Director of International Affairs, visted São Paulo, Brazil, to promote academic and cultural partnerships. Germain and Schmitt met with FECAP leadership to consolidate ongoing initiatives and future actions, and to expand initiatives in Agribusiness.
With the start of the 2022-2023 academic year, the first cohort of Audencia's Grande Ecole (GE) programme students started their classes at Audencia's São Paulo Collaborative Campus at FECAP. Within the scope of their studies, 49 students from the GE programme are taking intensive Portuguese language courses and business classes, as well as participating in study trips and cultural visits. Audencia aims to provide students with local immersive experiences, as well as developing partnerships with different stakeholders in the environmental, social and creative economy areas.
Germain and Schmitt, together with their GE students currently studying in São Paulo, visited the Dragões da Real Samba School, where they were able to learn more about the business model of the Carnival, and to witness "live and in color," the joy of "samba no pé."
Audencia leadership also visited the Arapyaú Institute and was received by its institutional director, Thais Ferraz, responsible for the strategic planning, project management and communication. Audencia signed a partnership with the Institute as they share similiar goals; to contribute to the effective promotion of sustainable development and social transition through networking and the collective construction of innovative solutions. Through this partnership, priority will be given to actions in the Amazon and Mata Atlantica in the areas of bioeconomy and cultural diversity.
With this visit, Germain and Schmitt worked to strengthen ties with French political institutions in São Paulo, such as the Consulate, Campus France and Business France, creating opportunities for Audencia students and alumni who will be able to carry out internships and find opportunities in local entrepreneurship.
