CSR in Our School

A “better school for the world” contributing to the training of tomorrow's responsible managers and leaders, aligning its teaching, research and internal practices.

Audencia has been deploying an ambitious strategy of sustainable development and social responsibility, mobilizing all its departments and numerous partners for 20 years now. This approach, co-constructed with its stakeholders, is built around five strategic axes steered by the General Delegation for Ecological and Social Transition.

Its commitment is embodied in tangible, recognized initiatives, illustrated in particular by the award of the "Label DD&RS" since 2016 and the fact that Audencia is in 4th place in the Change Now ranking in 2024.

Governance & CSR Strategy

To identify its priorities, define its objectives and monitor its action plans, the school works closely with its various stakeholders and is supported by three bodies: a Strategic Sustainability Committee, a Scientific Sustainability Council and a Students Sustainability Committee.

This governance gives management a cross-functional vision of the challenges of tomorrow's ecological and social transition and the expectations of all its stakeholders.

Combining theory and action research, in collaboration with the business world, it designs concrete models and tools to support societal, environmental and geopolitical transformations. Embedded in a local and international dynamic, this multidisciplinary research actively involves stakeholders from business and society, enriching perspectives. This synergy fosters a variety of projects and partnerships, helping to fuel thinking and shape solutions to current and future challenges.

Education & training

Audencia trains its students in the ecological and social transition by combining two approaches:

  • Immersive: through dedicated courses and programs delivered by Gaïa, Audencia's school for ecological and social transition.

  • Transversal: by integrating these issues at the heart of all our training courses, so that our learners can apply them in all spheres of business.

Environment and decarbonization

Since 2022, Audencia has been actively committed to reducing its carbon impact through an ambitious low-carbon strategy. This approach aims to transform its model towards a circular and sustainable economy, by defining a greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction trajectory aligned with the Paris Agreement by 2030. Short- and medium-term targets are set to ensure measurable progress. To reinforce the reliability of its strategy, Audencia follows Ademe's ACT methodology.

This approach enables the school to better control its flows, adopt a systemic vision and assess all its environmental impacts, beyond GHGs alone.
