June research retreat, a time for writing
10 members of the Audencia Faculty (10 registered and 3 were not able to attend last minute due to COVID quarantine restrictions) had the opportunity to spend two days in an inspiring environment, favorable to relaxation and writing as part of a research retreat organised by the Research Direction on 27 and 28 June.
The Professors were hosted in the Domaine de la Brulaire in the Nantes vineyards and the days were animated by Natalia Vershinina and Linda Lemarié, respectively Heads of Research of the Entrepreneurship, Strategy & Innovation and Marketing departments.
The aim of this structured research retreat was to give the professors dedicated time to work on their specific writing projects (article writing, article revisions, project proposals, book writing, etc.) in a neutral environment, away from professional emails and other everyday concerns. This led to increased productivity, reduced stress and a real focus on the quality of the writing, thanks also to the constructive and interdisciplinary conversations between participants from different departments.
A lot of our colleagues worked on revisions of their current academic articles under review. They focused not only on re-crafting their written work, but also on the letters of response to the reviewers. Overall the event has been a success as all seven participants were able to achieve and exceed the objectives that were set for these two writing days.
Following the success of the previous edition, a new research retreat will be organised next September. You can contact the Research Direction for more information.
